Preamble:

“I love your themes but where the **** are the codes?”

Honestly, I’m not really a fan of profanity especially when it’s not something serious. But this is an example of the dozens of messages I’ve been getting regarding “finding my themes”. I honestly don’t understand why it’s so hard to find them. Maybe because I’ve been designing too long so I’ve become blind to new internet users/surfers that only come from tumblr and can’t navigate outside of simple tumblr menu links? Idk.

I mean, I get it if the menu links have special effects that make it hard to find (like my last design) but I’m pretty sure it’s common sense that it would be under “content”? So, tell me, is my design really that difficult to navigate or are people just not reading/searching hard enough?

This is a serious question btw.  And please ignore my snarkiness, don’t take it personally, I’m just very surprised about the messages. Anyhow, since many people are asking, let me make it clear how to find my themes…

Steps:

1. On the ETTUDIS website, click the link labeled “content” as circled in yellow as shown below:

2. There will be a drop-down including a series of other links. Click the one labeled “tumblr themes” and you will be taken to a list of all themes by Ettudis

I hope this will make everyone’s lives easier.

I wish everyone a splendid new year! Hope everyone’s holiday was fabulous. I finally got around to updating the design for the site, it’s a bit reminiscent of my old style (?). I haven’t been designing things as much because the course load at school has increased. I don’t know how much time I will have in the next year but I will keep the site around regardless of whether I have things to update or not.

PREVIOUSLY… WHAT HAPPENED?Apparently. according to my host, quite a number of people got hacked but thank goodness it is only the index page that was affected, though now I can’t log-in to my wordpress so I’m trying to figure everything out with my host. Thanks for your patience. Hopefully, I’ll get the index back up by tomorrow. I actually need to deal with many things today because I just got a new roommate! So I need to go duplicate keys, buy stuff and other things like that.

As you can see, it’s all fixed now and hopefully, it won’t happen again. Well, other than that, I have been busy and there’s many updates! So check those out I’m going to see if I have some time to start working on the next design for this site. But I’m not sure seeing as I have two design projects to work on and school is starting soon so I don’t know if I should invest the effort and energy. And then, I will try to keep designing on the down-low since I REALLY NEED TO FOCUS ON SCHOOL this semester.

I’ve gotten so lazy. I have no desire to answer questions or respond to messages, oh gosh, this is what summer does to me! I’ll try my best to get my butt back into the game. Though all these trips to places isn’t helping. I’m going to Hualien (the east coast of Taiwan) on Monday and I’m having a sleepover at my friend’s house tomorrow. PLUS, I’m getting my ears pierced today… I’m excited about the prospect of buying cute earrings. I’m super content with how life is right now.

I suddenly got into a good graphics mood today though and made 2 wallpapers featuring Big Bang members, gosh, they look so perfect. One of my favourite korean bands of ALL TIME, they’re the first korean band I fell in love with and they were who introduced me to kpop. Below is the first song that caught my attention, it’s one of my favourites though I have MANY favourites.

updated info page with more previews to past designs

Updated with two new lovely tumblr themes! I’m in a good mood for making tumblr themes. But really, after finishing one, I’m exhausted because usually when I make one, I just sit there and code for hours on end. Well, same with any sort of updates really. Tomorrow, I’m going with my grandmother to hot springs. I’m super excited, but that also means I won’t be updating even though I just have so much inspiration lately! I’m not sure why, but it feels great.

Anyhow, well, I watched a Japanese action/thriller movie yesterday titled Kaiji (based on manga/anime with the same name). It was very good. It reminded me a lot of Liar Game (manga/jdrama) because they both focused on strategy and mind games. The plot was really good, it’s a lot more segmented than I thought it would be (less anti-climatic than the sequel) but each game was very intriguing and unpredictable (in terms of process of solving the games).

The visuals were done well too, I’m guessing they had a formidable budget for this film, as it looks more quality than a lot of Japanese action movies. It’s not an artistic thriller, just a plan-old action… though don’t compare it to Hollywood ones, those tend to be a lot more flashy.

I really loved all the actors and actresses in Kaiji. I don’t know why, but Tatsuya Fujiwara really draws eyes to him when he acts, even though for some reason, he always makes the characters more pathetique than they’re supposed to be (such as in Battle Royale, where he plays Shuya). Like, I can’t stop watching him even though his character portrayals make them out to be lame (weaker characters?). I’m not quite sure how to explain it.

But oh goodness, the other actos and actresses’ performace was pretty much flawless. I love Yûki Amami (character was Rinko Endo) and Teruyuki Kagawa (character was Yukio Tonegawa), very powerful, credible acting. Definitely worth a watch if you enjoy Japanese action movies.
